Are you talking about the bnr treasuries?

it's not a paid treasury, you're hopefully buying something you want from a store listed and then in addition to getting the item you want, your shop then gets featured in the treasury.

so it's a win win imo. You're not paying to be in the treasury, it's a bonus to buying something you want.

its only a win win IF you would have bought the item anyway

otherwise its an expensive way of getting a little bit of exposure

Yep, I'd say you're probably seeing the buy and replace treasuries (bnr).

You buy something from the treasury, and the treasury curator replaces that shop with you.

exactly marmalady!

you can spend your money on a showcase, renewing or a bnr, at least with the bnr you actually get something you want..no guarantees with the others

bnr's are taking up a lot of etsy. I think we would benefit if they had their own forum section instead of in promotions. bnr treasury is okay but like everyone said only win win if you would have purchased anyways.

more sellers selling to sellers. Etsy membership is a small audience compared to other more efficient ways of promoting. Of course thats just my opinion:)

BNR's, though I've never participated and likely will not, are useless for a seller as myself as they are impulse, small dollar items normally.
