I've been wondering this too! I noticed that the responses seemed to stop abruptly as well. I haven't been able to find them in Paypal... I'm glad you brought this up!

Mine have stopped also. I would like admin to chime in and identify if they setup the express checkout with paypal to include the customer survey option.

Somebody needs to address these concerns. I just started a thread today about this issue, and none of the sellers who replied in my thread had any idea how to find out who signed up for our newsletters.

I know this thread is old, but I just wanted to get on here and say that I finally got to talk to PayPal. I'd emailed them when this thread was recent, and they forgot about my issue.

So, Paypal says (surprise, surprise) that it's Etsy's fault that we're not getting people signing up for the newsletters. The man I talked to says that the newsletter option was always there until Etsy changed their payment pages. And there is no way to look up which customers signed up for the newsletter. But he said that he fixed something on my account so that I will be receiving notification of the survey/newsletter in the future.

I've asked him if this is something we can do ourselves, and he said we each have to call PayPal and get one of them to do this. He did not tell me exactly what it was he did.

So, I suppose my next step is to email all my customers from November and December and ask if they intended to opt in for the newsletter. I know it may be considered spam, but if they don't reply, I'll never contact them again. And considering I wouldn't have to do this if Etsy had known what they were doing, I figure I can break a TOU once and not feel guilty about it.

Paypal's phone number is 1-888-221-1161, but they're going to ask for a six-digit code, so you have to get online to get in touch with them.

I was wondering in anyone has gotten this to work?
I just got off the phone with PP and I am already getting all the notifications and the survey answers are not there. The operator didn't even know about the survey at first and said he thinks it may be something being phased out.
Anyone else have any news on this or any other method of adding a survey??

this is unfortunate. I started checking my payments as usual to build up my newsletter - all a waste of time. I was first amazed that no one opted in. Then I did a google search and finally found this. I will call paypal today.

thanks to scrivenerferret for popping back into the forum to share her information.

I saw this post yesterday and spent quite a bit of time talking with different people at paypal. The first customer service person did not understand my question the first two times. First she thought that I was not receiving my payment notification emails from them and then she thought I wasn't receiving results of paypal's surveys. When she finally figured out what I meant, she handed me off to (I believe it was called) site help. That nice person did a bit of checking and finally passed me off to another very nice person in an even more technically savvy group.

They actually opened a ticket about this problem to investigate it. Since I don't have an example of a transaction where I know a customer filled out a survey and that the results didn't show up on my transaction page, I referred them to this thread. (I'm one of those that was getting a consistent number of responses to my surveys and then nothing about the time of the checkout change.)

I just received a reply and according to their engineers, "Our engineers have tested the Customer Survey and was able to verify the survey appears within the Transaction Details. In order for us to review this issue further we would need a payment where the customer did fill out the survey however it does not appear within the PayPal account." This response seems within reason, so I'd like to ask:

If any of you out there have an example of a specific transaction that meets this criteria or are going to purchase anything from someone on Etsy who has a survey and would be willing to follow up on this, please convo me so that we can get the information to the correct person in engineering to follow up on this.

I'd love to start getting my survey results again.
