So now asking about getting answers gets closed?

I beg your pardon, Mr. White, but the question I asked has been being asked for four years with no answer. It wasn't answered here either. And I wasn't the only one asking.
(Why is there no "sold order" search? Sellers have been asking for this since day one.)
It was my understanding that the stream lined forums were in the interest of being more efficient.

I'm confused I see two pages of posts about searching sold orders and all are open. Meaning it's ok to ask for it, suggest it from my perspective anyhow.

Asking about answers certainly doesn't get a thread closed.
Ultimately, we don't have a search for sold orders because we have instead made and done work on many other things instead. However, you're right that it's been a long-standing idea, and we'll remind the appropriate Product and Engineering Teams of this.

If you know the title, shop etc. sometimes you can google and find sold items in a pinch.

Seems to me, as Etsy is nothing without us sellers, the focus would be on creating and keeping happy sellers. I do appreciate most of the changes Etsy has made, and I can see that maybe sold items search had to be postponed until these major overhauls were completed, but I certainly hope NOW is the time. this is the only thing I have been asking for, and I am asking, AGAIN. Please :)

I have a hard time searching through my sold items. The search convo by name function is useless, too. Especially on my iPhone. I have to scroll from a-z, and I have interacted with thousands of etsians.

Oh! How i would love a sold orders search. I was trying to look for a particular sold item in my shop and had to wade through pages and pages to find it.
I don't understand why they couldn't give sold orders a search bar at the same time they gave favorites a search bar.

At the VERY LEAST a chance to select pages at the TOP and not just at the bottom.
In an ideal world, yes it would be wonderful though to have an easier way to search our own sold orders. By username or Paypal name. It would also be nice to have a 'purchase history' tool that we could use from convo's too.
I agree. Etsy sellers making suggestions to more effeciently run Etsy shops should be highly considered. Only makes sense.

FatCat ... you are correct that Etsy would be nothing without the sellers, but the sellers would not be here were it not for the buyers (unless the sellers just wanted to socialize).
Everybody has some feature she or he wants. Etsy can't be working on every possible projects. Like all businesses, they must set their priorities.
Yes ... a "search sold items" would be great. Let's hope they provide one someday.
One could argue that (buyers) searching unsold items should have a higher priority, otherwise how will an item ever be sold?!!!
