I got on this morning to see if I had any sales over night and was suprised to find about the time I had gotten on I had favorited a new item from a shop I had never even seen b4.
This alarmed me as my birthday was just a bit back and my sister said she was going to get me something from my favorites and I don't want more random items I've never seen b4 showing up!
Idk if this was just a random glitch or if had anything to do with the shop so I will include the link to item in another comment so it can be deleted by etsy if they so wish.

This is the item that showed up just incase anyone else had this happen!

I mean nothing bad to the seller by posting this just thought if it was connected at all to the shop or item it would help etsy to know the item. Although I suspect it was probably just a random item....

My favorite's have included some items that I'm certain I'd never seen before. I figured maybe the items I fav'ed sold and the shop changed out the photo to a different product when it was renewed. But who knows?

I could see that, but this was a shop I had never seen b4. I had gone into a treasury b4 checking my feed and that was in my convos, but the shop wasn't in that treasury either so it wasn't just a mysterious click on the heart that I didn't actually make in there.
Which I could of seen as sometimes when my browser opens a new page it likes to act like I clicked on that part in the newly opened tab and not in the tab b4 it.

Just Delete it asap. I am sure it was a rare and random glitch...

I have also noticed this, this morning i was browsing through my favourites and found two items i had never seen before. They weren't in my recent pages of favourites either, they were 5 or so pages back. I deleted them but thought Etsy would want to know this has happened to more than one person.

Changed from DontChangeMe on May 17, 2013
This is very mysterious, indeed! MoesCrochet, is there any chance you share your computer with others in your household? Perhaps someone was on Etsy on the same computer and added the item to the Favorites without realizing you were signed in.
Or could you have perhaps left your account signed in on someone else's computer?
It doesn't appear that your account has been compromised in anyway. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this!

Sorry for the delay in response, had a show and haven't been around etsy for about a week...
No one else uses my computer, and this happend at the time I had started using etsy that day so it wasn't someone else signed in as me. I only use this computer for my etsy acct as I need to run speach softwear and therefore if I am not at home I do not have access to etsy.
My husband does know my info but he doesn't sign in as me on his computer, nor would he have favorited any items as he doesn't ever use etsy other then looking over my sholder.
As I said Originally the main thing that concerned me was that my sister had said she was going to buy me a birthday gift from my etsy favorites... and just bc I had removed the favorite from it it still showed up in my feed as something I had favorited at that time. I have no idea if it showed up in hers or not. Hope it didn't.
It hasn't happend since though thankfully, but as I said I haven't been around either.

Even though it's against the rules some people will change a listing to an entirely different item.
If someone hearts the original listing then it will change to the different item the seller changed the listing to.
So the random items you're seeing may be from a shop that has done this.
