Photo sizes

I really do see this as a bug.

The zoom feature does not work as it should. surely my photos should not be resized when they are upload but they are being and the zoom does not allow the photos to be seen nearly as big as the original I uploaded.

This really is frustrating, when people buy online they need to see the details in an item and etsy is not allowing this.

Very annoying : /

Please admin can you explain why this is?

Hi Saffron,

We do some resizing and cropping when placing images into certain places, such as thumbnails or the listing page, but the zoom feature should show it as it was uploaded.

Could you give me an example, please? Link to an item, and describe which image was altered and what its original size was. I'll be happy to check it out. It might also help to send me the original if you have it. Just attach to a convo to me. Thanks!
