filter for shops accepting gift cards -- not visible

I got a gift card for xmas and in the "help" section it tells me to check the box marked "accepts gift cards" on the left of my screen after I do a search. But the box isn't there.

On the screen shot they show on the "help" section, that option appears under the heading "Show Only," but on my screen, the only thing under "Show Only" is "My Favourites."

Any ideas? I'm able to do it on my iPhone app, but really would rather be browsing on my computer!

Hey Kathy,

If you look on the left hand side of the column, towards the bottom, you should see > Show Only > Accepts Etsy Gift Cards:

That's weird, Kathy, it's visible on my search pages. Are you in the US? That's the only thing I can think of as to why it may not show it. It's "supposed" to only be for US buyers, since only US sellers can offer them at the moment.

maybe try a different browser? That IS weird especially since it's working on your phone.

You just have to go down the page to where you can enter a price range and it's right above that.

No luck yet - thanks everybody for the instructions... it really just is not there. I'm looking above the price range and below the "show only my favorites."

Lindsay -- I am in Canada, but relatives in the U.S. purchased the gift certificate so we thought I'd be able to use it from here (even though I know I can only use it in U.S. shops that accpet gift cards).

Kathy, I bet that's why. Which is stupid, because even though you are limited in where you can shop, most of us (myself included) accept gift cards AND ship internationally.

I hope you're able to figure it out, and able to use it.

Kathy, you can use it. Gift cards can only be PURCHASED by those in the US, but they can be redeemed by everyone.

I'm also in Canada and when I click on the search link you provided I don't see the gift card filter option either. Is it possible that this is something that is set up to only show up for accounts that are showing the US as their location?
