Nobody reads the policy page

I get asked many questions every week on subjects that are in my policies.
Where can I put "read my policies" so customers see them before purchasing an item.
I hold strong to my policies for everyone involved. I would hate for a customer to purchase from me then get stuck with a problem because they did not read the policies. I'm not sure that everyone knows we have a policy page.
I know that there is a policy thread...I could not find it.

heck, some buyers dont even read the listings.
Sometimes in the actual listing, I see a seller post the link to the policy page.
I suggested this idea sometime ago.

I would like to see Etsy add some info regarding shop policies when a buyer checks out.

A simple statement like "It is highly recommended that you read the sellers shop policies before checking out"...or something like that.
I'm thinking of sticking a coupon in there, just to see who reads. I've seen a shop or two do that, with their about page...
Sharon, Maya...those are good ideas.
I agree.

I've had 4 ppl' since I've been on here say they have been on Etsy a long time and did not even know we had a policy page (personal).
I think many feel there is a universal page for everyone. That we don't have our own policies.
I usually read policies before I buy,if that makes you feel any better.lol
What I normally say in my listings after the item description is:
"Information on regular and international shipping, custom orders, and returns and exchanges can be found in my shop policies",and then the link to them.
At least they have a view shop policies under contact shop owner, which is under "Have a Question?" and next to payment methods. Not everyone notices,I'm sure, but I bet some do.
Of course,a few people don't even read descriptions much (or were maybe tired when they read them),so they don't see,but it helps some.
Yup. I get buyers asking questions about things I clearly list in the policy section and even in the listings. As another poster said, some buyers don't even bother to read through the listing.
i think many buyers see the photo, click "purchase", then move on. hence the reason so many crochet and knit pattern sellers get hit with that "i thought i was buying a hat!" conundrum.

Anita, what about putting a link to your policies right at the top of your shop announcement, or towards the bottom of each or selected listings. They've gotta stumble across it before long!
