Does it help to rearrange your shop?

I usually just add things or relist and don't worry too much about how my shop is arranged. I try to make good section titles to help buyers search my shop but now after reading another thread I wonder if I should worry more about arranging my first page....

do you think this matters?

I try to rearrange my shop as often as possible, but when I'm really busy that's the first thing that I let go.

Most of my buyers find my through a search for a specific item so they rarely see my main shop page.

I rearrange my first page quite often in all 3 of my shops.
Sometimes items look better when next to others and vice versa.\
I also use different coloured backgrounds sometimes and it looks strange when mixed with others.
thanks, crochetgal--i guess i've just relied on my sections--many people do search more of my shop once they land on an item--at least that is what my stats show. i link to the section the item can be found in but also to my main shop....
I agree with crochetgal ~ I love arranging my shop by color but when I'm busy its not a priority, most people find me using search so they land on a specific item so no telling if they ever see my front page!!

If you renew or make sales of items of which you have more than a quantity of 1 listed then you are rearranging your shop.

The only thing I rearrange is my featured listings according to the appropriate season or holiday etc...

I have enough renewals and sales that my front page content is always changing.
lol i can't even figure out how to rearrange the page....i see the button but am not even sure how it works...guess i won't worry about it today ;-)
I never thought about doing this, maybe I'll give it a shot!
I consider my landing page the front page of my shop and I change it up regularly. I'll admit I drive myself crazy with it though.

It's especially helpful if you have a variety of items and want to show at a glance the depths of your shop. I try to always have at least a patch, a cookie cutter, a few pieces of jewelry, and some interesting vintage finds on the first page. My intention is for someone to see a vintage cookie cutter and click over to the cookie cutter section to see what other ones I might be hoarding.

I like the way yours shows some cards, some watercolors, some jewelry. If it were all cards, a jewelry shopper might click away and vice versa.

It's your own Front Page and you can do what you like with it. I know when I peek at people's shops from the Forums, a compelling first page determines whether I click around in their shop.
that is good info, Pezz--I have a vintage shop as well and I tend to list a lot of like items at once....more so than in this shop....something to consider though I don't promise i'll worry about it before the holidays ;-)
