Does randomly liking peoples items increase SEO??

I have recently heard that if you like a bunch of things, you get linked to those pages, then you get bumped up in the SEO or something?

anybody know?

how many things do you like a day?

Not in the least.

Sorry :-/ I wish it were that easy!
what is SEO? I swear, I know nothing.
That doesn't make sense to me. I know that some people do that, but I thought it was just to get views of their shops, i.e. bead shops favoriting jewelry items.
It doesn't affect SEO one way or the other, but some people favorite things in the hopes that you'll look at their shop.
or maybe the more times your shop name happens to appear (as in favorites for an item) the more likely it will be found?
This appeared last night in a Business Topics forum

title of the post was: Staying in first page of a given search...

It's worth reading this response below to that topic, I think it was midway down the page:

Paint,

Most of the listings displayed in the search results as well as in Browse, are
-- listings from very high selling shops
-- listings with many repeat sales
-- listings with many hearts/faves
-- listings that are included in many treasuries

. . . in other words, popular listings.

Once your new items gain hearts and favorites, they will be seen in more and more searches. Listings that are sold and renewed will also appear in more and more searches.

So the answer is yes.
SEO mainly deals with how easily you are found through search engines. The way you title your listings and the tags you use are key components to boosting your SEO presence.
but maybe being "linked" to many shops helps?
Clicking on items and hearting items gives those people a a bump up. The way I read it is the more an item is viewed, heartied, included in treasuries and sold and re-listed, renewed, gives those items a bump up in where they appear on a relevancy search, browse search, trending search.
