An Ideas thread got me curious. Social shopping has some buzz, but in many cases people don't seem to be adopting it. Some FB apps based on sharing what you buy have failed -- including one from iTunes.
Do you care what your friends buy online?
Do you want to share what you buy?
And do you?
Do you find that you and your IRL or FB friends have similar tastes?
Would it help you buy better gifts for friends?

I wouldn't want people to know every thing I buy. Some things are quite personal. I don't want to know what others buy either....sometimes there really is such thing as TMI.

I could personally care less what friends buy and I don't think j would want them to be in my business like that. I don't care for that idea at all. Most friends and I don't really have the same general tastes so I don't think it would even be helpful to me at all.

I don't care what others are buying and don't want my purchases made public either.

I really don't feel the need to know what people buy, or watch on TV or what their favorite music is.

I'm nosy and would love to know what my friends are buying but I wouldn't like them to know what I myself am buying....yes, very contradictory but it's the truth. I would not use any service that shows my purchases....

No, while my friends and I share many things, some things like what I buy, really aren't any of their business, and vice-versa. My purchasea are just that MY purchases and of no consequence or matter to those in my circle of friends.
