Welcome to the Etsypreneurs Team on Etsy!
Etsypreneur.com was started in 2010 by Kim & Tim Layton from the blog EverythingEtsy.com. We started Etsypreneur.com with the idea of building a community of etsy sellers who wanted two things:
1. To see their business grow and build a real and lasting online success story.
and
2. To surround themselves and build friendships with other like-minded Etsy sellers who felt encouraged and positive about the future of their Etsy shops and handmade as a whole.
We also wanted to create a community that DID NOT have lots of negativity, whining, and complaining that was so often found in the general forums at that time.
We did that at Etsypreneur.com
But we didn't keep that site as it was originally built. We found that places just like where you are now, the Etsy Team, and places like Facebook, Google+, and Pinterest had more than enough opportunity to find and interact with other Etsypreneurs.
And we wanted to use the Etsypreneur.com site for another purpose.
So in early 2012 we made a transition and closed the "social platform" of Etsypreneur.com
The site is now an all Etsy business blog and daily tips email. The focus of the site is to provide Etsy sellers with tools, information, and inspiration to build the success of their dreams starting here on Etsy.
