"AN INTERVIEW WITH..................."

We will be featuring 'interviews' with any members who would like to participate, complete with your shop links, on our very own Vancouver Island Etsy Team Blog! vanisle-etsyteam.blogspot.com/ Rather than a question-answer format we would like this to be a cohesive piece written by you. We want to know about you personally and professionally. Here are a few things to help guide you.

• Tell us about who you are and how you got started doing what you do. Did
you gain formal training? Where? If not, how did you develop your art?

• Tell us about your studio. Do you have a room or workshop especially
dedicated to your art? Or is it the kitchen table or a corner in your child's
playroom?

• Tell us about your processes. How do you work? Do you listen to music or
need quiet? Is it sporadic or do you dedicate set hours to work?

• What are the toughest challenges you find in keeping consistent hours?
What other challenges do you face in your work and what ways have you
been able to address them (if you have)?

• What types of materials do you use? Why?

• Where else do you sell your work? (Include the link if there is one)

• Why do you think people should buy handmade?

• What goals do you have?

• What are three items in your shop that you are particularly proud of? (Include
their links)

• Will you be at any art/craft fairs this year? Any other place you will be that you
would like us to know about? (Include links to these places if possible.)

These are all suggestions and are intended for you to get started. You do not need to answer all these questions and you can add anything else that you would like to share. I reserve the right to edit your piece as needed which means, if it is too long, I may have to summarize a bit or, if there are spelling mistakes, I will fix them.

Please include up to 4 pictures of your studio/workspace, works in progress, finished works, and yourself (if you are not shy).

Thank you for sharing with us. I look forward to reading your answers and getting to know you and your work.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please do not post your answers on this page as they will all take up too much space. Plus, you cannot post your photos here anyway. Please send your answers and photos directly to my email - micki@a2seacreations.com

HELP:
As time permits, we will be posting your 'interview' answers on our new Vancouver Island Etsy Blog found here: vanisle-etsyteam.blogspot.com/ Please be patient with me as I will not be able to get to all of you right away. And please help me to help you by posting our blog link (and the one of your interview!) on all of your social networks.

We will show 'em that Vancouver Island Etsyians are a force to be reckoned with!

Thanks!

Would you be interested in having me do a tutorial for the flying key broochs I've just introduced?
