I'll jump in because I have not introduced myself yet. I'm Candace and I own Cinnamon Candies which is also a blog of the same name. I've been making bath and body and melt and pour soaps for awhile now, but I recently got into cold and hot process soaps which are so much nicer.
I am also launching a make-up line that is as chemical free as possible and working on using natural colorants in my soaps instead of lab created oxides.
I've taken a keen interest in "soaping" with my two Step-children because they love making things. Right now they're way too young to use lye or be around it (don't worry, I keep all the hazardous stuff nicely stashed away from their eyes and hands). I'm figuring out ways to keep them making things with me since they really enjoy that.

Hello my name is Lori, and I've been creating my own skin care preparations since 2000 and soaping since 2010. My background is aesthetics and I have in the past two years received my aromatherapy health practitioners designation.
Creating essential oil synergies for my skin care and my cold pressed soaps is such a joy in my life, just can't image what life was like before creating these glorious treatments for the face and body. Can't imagine how people can use that other pharmacy/cosmetic department crap!!!
I am so grateful and thankful to find something that I love to do, have a hobby that generates some income for me...also having the opportunity to be part of groups like these.
My hope is to connect with some of you, so that we change the world by educating others on what makes our products different from the rest and why they must switch to a handmade product.

Hey all! I'm Kim aka Akima (it was my old bellydance name and now the name of my business). I just started Akima Botanicals and am finalizing all the legal stuff now (LLC, registration of fictitious name...snore). So nice to meet you all! I make lib balm, fragrances, soap, salves, candles, and plan to include cosmetics and lotions in the near future. I use all natural, organic, fair trade, local, and/or responsibly wild harvested ingredients whenever possible. I plan on working the farmers/flea market circut in my area and expand into wholesaling in local shops in addition to Etsy.
Some words to describe me:
pagan/green witch, workaholic, grossly optimistic goth, music lover especially opera (I've studied professionally but performed amateurly), green living, vegetarian, resident of PA just outside Philadelphia, collector of oddities and miniature oil lamps, bellydancer, bartender, student of holistic health specializing in medical herbalism
I look forward to sharing thoughts, ideas, help, tips, and jokes with all of you.

Good morning to all!! I am Annouk from Greece.
I love making natural organic soaps and body lotions. I make facial and body soaps as well as natural olive oil laundry soap.
My main principal is: no chemicals, no fragrances, no harderner, no whiteners.
I use only vegetable oils (mostly extra virgin olive oil) and butters, essential oils, herbs, honey, beeswax.... etc
My grandmommy passed me the main soap recipy as they used to do it back then with pure olive oil, honey and natural herbs that they collected by themselves.
I also gather, dry and sell wild grown herbs and I can guarantee you that are pure, organic and healthy.
I love trips, picnics, sports, meeting friends (old and new), seeing new countries and places......and many many more!!

Hello! I am so glad to be a part of this team! I love being inspired by natural ingredients, and I love sharing their goodness with others. I make soap, lotion, balms, hair shampoos/conditioners, bath salts/soaks, and basically anything to nourish the skin. Currently, my Etsy shop offers melt and pour soap (the real thing, no detergents), lotions, balms, and scrubs. Of course, I will be adding products to my shop, as I create and master new recipes. Although I do use fragrance oils, and phenoxyethanol (in my lotions), my products are always at least 98% natural. I do believe in SOME better living through chemistry, like avoiding mold in products with water. If a product I make will remain safe without a preservative, I only use essential oils for fragrance, to keep the product 100% natural.
I look forward to being a part of this team, and sharing great tips on wonderful natural ingredients. Nature provides so many nutrients that will heal and protect the skin, and the main reason I even began making my own skincare products was to avoid cheap synthetics that make your skin "feel" soft, instead of "being" soft.
Besides spending just about all of my time on creating my goods, I also enjoy spending time outside in the beautiful Pacific Northwest (though the weather is terrible right now, even though the rest of you are hitting record highs!). We have dog we rescued from the local shelter, and he is basically always by my side. Other hobbies include baking, DIY home and fashion projects, and looking at neat things on Etsy (seriously, I lose track of time while I scour the site!).
