The ever popular purse pendant, my specialty. Handmade glass lampwork bead, (yes, bead!), made by me, in my home studio of Italian soda lime glass. This stunning pendant has a bed of ruby pink roses on a base of antique ivory imported glass. There is a special reaction that happens when the pink of the roses lies atop the ivory colored glass. A very fine, deliniating black outline occurs around the roses . It looks like I drew it on with a fine tip pen when in fact it's just a reaction from the different metals in the glass. I love the effect and use it oftern in my bead designs. The handbag's faux closure is a twisted cane of black and white glass and tiny, raised dots of black outline the edges of this sweet pendant. I use a sturdy, but thin, craft wire that has been doubled to create the seed-beaded handle and I also add a sterling silver bail so all you need to do is string the pendant on your favorite chain, cord or maybe you'd just like to collect or give as a gift.Purse bead measures 26x26 mm. Please note my purse pendant beads have been fully kiln annealed for strength and durabilty but they are, however, made of glass and should be treated as the fragile treasures they are. Not meant for small children.
