The chain on this necklace is a gold tone colour, although it is not real gold. There are 4 different styles of chain included in this necklace, of various contents. The largest chunky chain is aluminum with a gold tone finish, which helps prevent this piece from weighing a ton. The other chains are either brass or steel with a gold tone finish. The multiple chains are joined together at the back with a great sliding latch that locks in place, making the chains nice and secure. If your clasp loosens over time, just give it a gentle squeeze and it will be good as new, so great! I've also added a small wooden Norwegian Wood logo charm to the back of the necklace for a little extra laser cut magic.
I have hand stitched the fringe with matching thread along the lowest hanging chain, so it is very secure. Go ahead, wear this necklace out dancing! You may get fringe stuck all over your sweaty neck, but damn, you'll look amazing!
