This listing is for a hand carved chop stick (or hair sticks) made from Snakewood. Hand carved, buffed, and oiled with linseed, this set is gorgeous! One stick is enough to hold even long, thick hair, like mine, but with two, you have the maximum hold.

Snakewood is an incredibly beautiful wood which originates mostly in Suriname, South America. The specific gravity is around 1.2, making it one of the worlds hardest woods. It's markings, which resemble those of a snakeskin, give this small, relatively rare timber its name.

Features: Straight grain; fine, even texture; deep reddish-brown with irregular, horizontal black markings.

These are about 7.5" long.
