I have been very interested in the black plague recently and this necklace was from a dream i had recently of that. I imagined one of the plague doctors poking around the dead and dying bodies with his long cane and huge bird like mask (Used to mask the smell, and also to prevent self contamination). For some reason this particular twisted doctor collects the bones of the victims of the plague... and he has them on his shelf in a criss crossed fashion... But his obsession with the dead leads to his own death - he catches the plague from his collection and dies a painfull death...
Perhaps this piece doesn't have to be so dark in your eyes though, I love to leave my pieces to your own interpretation.
The necklace is made of Sterling silver which has been oxidized to a gorgeous dark grey-black colour and rubbed away slightly. The necklace is approximately 16inches in length, and the 6 bones are nearly 3 inches across.
This looks insanely amazing on.
