Portraits are painted in oils on a 6"x8" 1/2"-thick maple panel with a notch on the back for hanging on your wall - this way you can hang it as is or choose to have it framed. The painting will be varnished before I send it to you, unless you request that it not be varnished. I sign the paintings on the back.
The current turnaround time is approximately 4 weeks. Please let me know when you need the painting so we can discuss options. They will be shipped Priority mail in the U.S. Expedited shipping is available for an additional charge. Long-haired pets tend to take a couple of days longer to paint than short-haired, so please keep that in mind if you need it by a specific date.
Steps:
1. Purchase this item on Etsy.
2. Email 3-5 good, clear pictures of your pet to me at
kate.pugsley [!at] gmail.com.
make sure their face is in focus so I can capture a good likeness of your pet. the best portraits come from quality photos.
3. Include any special instructions (for instance, "Can he have a bow around his neck?," "I like a yellow background", etc.)
