Or maybe your favorite Merino wool or cashmere sweater got ripped, or have a permanent stain on it?
RECYCLE and make baby slipper shoes!!
Here’s a pattern that will let you sustain the life of your favorite sweaters by recycling them as nifty baby shoes. This pattern is for making baby footwear from parts of a felted/shrunken sweater, which are assembled using simple crochet stitches (slip stitch, chain, single crochet).
The pattern comes with detailed written instructions, lots of step-by-step photos, and includes US and UK abbreviations, plus imperial and metric measurements. It also has a simple tutorial on how to (intentionally) felt your own sweater(s).
The pattern includes two sizes to fit babies 9-12M and 12-18 months old - soles measure approx. 4-1/4" (10.5cm) and 4-3/4" (12cm).
Difficulty Level: BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE
NOTE: THE PATTERN IS SENT BY EMAIL IN ADOBE FORMAT.
***It is okay to sell the finished shoes at craft sales, fairs, stores, and online (preferably not on ETSY, but if you must - that's okay, too)***
