Like Blanche DuBois, this pretty bag has seen better days, but she's still oddly lovely in her delicate state of decay.
It's an evening bag from the 1950s, and it's covered in transparent, iridescent sequins that have a soft aqua color, and it's trimmed in faux pearls.
It's missing some pearls, and some of it's edges are worn, but the soft clutch itself is still stable, and although there are a couple of small water stains, (spilled cocktail?), that made the dye bleed a little, the snap works well. The sides are expandable, and it has an ivory satin lining.
It measures inches 4.5 X 8 inches, and has a label inside that reads, "La Regale Product, Made in Japan of American Sequins"

This would be pretty as a decorative accent on a dresser or table, with other somewhat shabby items, shells, Mother of Pearl combs or jewelry.
