The rainbow is made out of fleece that is fused on and then sewn onto for durability. Red heart fleece elbow patches are also fused on and handstitched with sky blue embroidery floss.
Please note that American Apparel tends to run small so order up a size for a lasting fit. For example, my 3.5-year old fits nicely into an American Apparel size 6 with a little room to grow.
