I'll answer your big question right off the bat and tell you about my paper in a minute. Why is this listing so much cheaper than my other listings for 4x5 inch paper? These sheets are made by trimming down an 8.5x11 inch sheet of paper, which is a much quicker process than forming each 4x5 inch sheet one at a time by hand. It's the same quality paper, but cheaper! Now, why is my paper so wonderful? This paper is made from 100% office, notebook, and printer papers that I have collected and recycled myself. The only ingredients are paper and water!
I don't like to add chemicals to my paper. The two main ones used in most papermaking are some kind of sizing, (which prevents bleeding and feathering of inks) and bleach to whiten and brighten plant fibers or colors to dye them. I don't use either of these because the paper I recycle into my handmade paper often already has sizing in it from the manufacturer, and I really prefer the natural look of handmade paper with the tiny speckles left by the ground up text and pictures.
You could use this paper to write a note; bind a book; draw a picture; send graduation, birth, or wedding announcements; use as wrapping for soaps, gifts, or other small objects; mat photos or artwork, or anything else you might use decorative paper for.
Making paper is a meditative process for me. There's something very relaxing to the simple, repetitive process. The end result of having a crisp, clean sheet of paper brings to mind endless possibilities. Anything that may have been upsetting or stressful before just melts away after I open up a whole world of opportunities with that one simple sheet of paper.

This paper can even go through the printer! Just use a small square of double-sided tape on each corner, affix it to a sheet of regular printer paper, and run it through. Many of my customers have used this technique to print their own wedding and party invitations!
