This stoneware clay is called black mountain and turns a deep chocolate brown color after high firing. The exterior is kept unglazed and has texture like rough sandpaper which contrasts with the smooth apple green glaze inside. Each vessel is wheel thrown and handmade so variations in size, shape, and glaze will occur. This vessel is vitrified.
Sturdy leather strap holds the planter. No drainage hole.
These vessels remind me of the bullet form. So I am calling these hanging planters part of the Bala Series.
Plant is not included.
length of leather strap: 23"
