This is my dear little kitsch flower power cutie, my first real attempt at patchwork and I think I'm in love!
I've cut out 16 different vintage 1950s and a couple of 1930s cotton print fabrics which are patchworked together and then appliqued on to the cushion front using a dusky pink embroidery thread, I've then stuffed each one of them using kapok to give them a cuddly feel..her dear fave is made up of a milky coffee coloured felt, and she a mixture of appliqued felt and embroidered face details....oh, and a little it of pinky blush for her cheeks! Again her face is also stuffed with kapok!
Cotton green backing and a big red 1960s button does up at the back, inside I've but a feather-down cushion filler in, this could be taken out if you have allergies.
I would also say she is a dry clean only cushion..
Summer Flower Face measures 13 inches in diameter or 34cm Roughly 4.5inches deep or 12cm.
would look cute on big or small fellows beds, gracing the sofa, chairs or perhaps on a shelf somewhere, though really this cushion is great for hugs!
