This may be the most fabulous late 1960's dress I have ever seen! It is incredible and really timeless. The detailing is over the top and so, so sultry. I never though I would say this...but I love this late 1960's formal dress!
The dress is made of semi sheer red chiffon over an acetate lining. The floor length halter dress features a gathered bust halter bodice adorned in a criss cross of heavy beading and rows of aurora borealis rhinestones. There is heavy gathering at the bodice which really enhances the bustline and heavy gathering at the skirt to add incredible fullness and drape. The halter fastens at the neck with a row of hook and eyes. The dress has a plunging backless design with chiffon framing the back. There is a short back zipper. The dress is in overall excellent vintage condition but there is some spotting along the front of the dress. There are several areas of water spots. It appears the previous owner may have been around a few clumsy drinkers in her day. The flaws do not detract from the overall appearance of the garment and only one smaller, darker spot is truly noticeable. Honestly, no one is going to be looks at the bottom of the skirt. There is so much incredibleness, this dress is a show stopper! The dress has been dry cleaned and is ready to wear!
