I then laid it over a round slump mould I made, and added 3 small coiled feet to the bottom, which the bowl sits on. It measures about 4 3/4" across and 1 - 1 1/4" high. I've glazed the ornamental bird section in a glossy robin's egg blue. I glazed the rest of the bowl in a textured creamy yellow matte, with a robin's egg blue line on the edge. The bowl is nicely off-center and lovely to hold. The glazes are mid-range stoneware and non-lead.
I'm beginning to explore the use of my "tiny tile" moulds to create functional objects such as bowls, cups, salt & pepper shakers, and serving dishes. Watch for more one-of-a-kind pieces coming soon!
