Sea salt adds a lot to soap. It isn’t scratchy. On the contrary, your skin feels finely polished after bathing – sort of like it feels after swimming in the ocean. And it's full of healthy minerals. In order to hold all that salty deliciousness, the soap must be hearty, otherwise it will disintegrate when it’s used. So I used 95% coconut oil, which creates a very hard bar indeed, and added castor seed oil and a bit of sugar to boost the lather. Its beautiful aqua color speaks of the sea, and its invigorating scent is a complex blend of herbaceous rosemary and refreshing peppermint and spearmint, with notes of floral lavender and tart lime woven throughout. Hints of airy eucalyptus and Virginia cedarwood round out the blend to turn your bathing ritual into a home spa!
