A homage to disabled people out there across the world - and to cheer me up after a nasty incident in town the other day: http://debs102.blogspot.com/2010/08/good-times-follow-bad-times.html
Oh, no, I hope you're okay.
:-(
And thank you for this treasury. I haven't told anyone here on Etsy, but I'm a double amputee, both legs off at the knees. Not that long ago my cat knocked me down by accident and broke my right femur. OUCH!
So, I'm now in a wheelchair healing from the surgery from putting rods and pins and screws in my leg to help my femur heal enough to get back into walking on artificial legs.
And now I have to learn to walk allllll over again.
*sigh*
I bet your cat has guilt... poor you and poor cat! People have been lovely here - I'm not one to talk about it too much normally, I'm epileptic, deaf, bi polar and generally a bit of a train wreck, but I hope by talkign about it it makes people think twice about their actions & celebrate diversity :)
These are just perfect! One of my oldest friends is an below-knee amputee and on etsy (remaining anonymous) and can do just about anything. We can withstand a lot and come out bouncing back. My hat is off to all who create and think of the disabled as "normal". We all are in our own ways. Hats off to you and the whole team!
This is a really excellent collection. I really love that Etsy serves a wide audience--this is an inspirational Treasury. Thanks so much for including my necklace.
