we recently acquired a new friend--a hermit crab! it reminds me of summers with my grandpa aug in marathon key, florida...I was happy to discover I am not the only one with a spot in my heart for these little critters!

Hermit crabs are unique among Mama Natures creatures. I remember seeing them a decade ago for the first time in the wild. They really hang on to their shells, almost as if they were 50 pounds heavier. Thanks for putting my shakers in your treasury.

Love hermit crabs. My daughter had pet ones and we were lucky enough to watch one change its shell...they are amazing creatures indeed!
