I live and work in the seaside city of Brighton & Hove. I love everything about it and really try to evoke that emotion in the sculptures that I make. As I live on the coast I cannot help but be motivated and captivated by all that it is. I like to watch the waves and differences in the tides. You can't help but to pick up a pebble, rub it in your hand and then throw it into the sea as far as you can. I live and work in the seaside city of Brighton & Hove. I love everything about it and really try to evoke that emotion in the sculptures that I make. There are shells and seaweed washed up on the sea shore, mixed in with drift wood and tumbled vegetation all being swept along by the never ending tide.

It is all this and more that I try to envisage when sculpting. When I began making these sculptures, I set out first and foremost to enjoy the whole process of creating the curves and trying out different patternations using the clay, sometimes adding grit and sand found on the beach.

I am now thinking about my next sculpture but taking my time to really think about what I want to achieve. I do a great deal of pondering and looking, collecting images, photographing and making moquettes before I can begin.

I hope you enjoy the sculptures as much as I enjoy creating them. If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message.
