Dear Celia has gone through many transformations to become the little enterprise that it is today, from different names to different products, but what has always been at the centre has been the focus on stylish products which are kind to both the world and the people in it.

I come from a family of stationary addicts, so it is really no surprise that I have ended up creating my own range of tree free stationary! As a person who is never without my trusty notebook in my handbag. I feel like everything in our lives, however small should bring us pleasure and that's what I hope my little range of cards and notebooks does for people.

I first discovered lino carving in the summer when I turned 16; I had an explosively creative summer in which I took over my mothers craft shed (much to her dismay). She had suggested that I try lino carving and see what I could do with it, and one afternoon, when I was slightly at a loss I decided to give it a go. So I picked up an old rusty Stanley knife and an old, very blunt carving tool and set to work.

I begin my creative process by choosing an animal and looking at a million photos of them online from all different angles. What I love most about lino is the task of trying to convey the animation and personality of the different animals through the simple lines. I’ve never done any sketches before starting; I just draw directly onto the lino with an old school pencil and occasionally I've just freestyle it with the stanley knife.

After carving out my new friend I begin on the next stage, which is super technical and involves cardboard, double sided tape, ink and an old tea towel...

I am constantly being inspired by beautiful imagery, after watching the TV nature documentary Frozen Planet I was immediately desperate to do a Antarctica collection of the animals who dwelt in the snow and the ice and all my family that Christmas got cards covered in snow foxes and the like!

Simply by writing this I feel inspired to go and create some more little lino friends...
