Double Strung Wafers
Description
PLEASE NOTE VACATION SCHEDULE ON SHOP ANNOUNCEMENT, THANKS!This is a one of a kind necklace made from a single branch I found while out walking my dog one day. Unfortunately I can’t identify what kind of a tree it came from for sure but I believe it might be a poplar tree.
I sawed the branch as thin as I could, drilled two holes in each, sanded and then oiled them. The heart of the wood is just beautiful like a little five pointed star.The wafers are the size of a nickel.
There are nineteen beads in all and I’ve double strung them on hand dyed silk which is a gorgeous earthy green, brown and blue. The short length is 18 inches and the longer is 21 inches. The last bead acts as a toggle which loops through one end.
