Big sky over quiet farm, Polaroid transfer composite signed and matted with white acid-free cotton rag mat.

After initial capture, this image began as a Polaroid image transfer, created by re-exposing it onto Polaroid peel-apart film, then pressing the negative side onto wet watercolor paper. Thus the print dyes of the negative were “transferred” onto the surface of the paper. The Polaroid transfer process imparts a unique texture and a dreamy, old-world feeling. This transfer has then been recomposited, recombined with the original image and the mood and evocative nature of the image have been further developed through the artful application of digital processes.
