Wupatki handspun yarn merino ingeo 40 yards 3 ounces
Description
The colors in this yarn remind me of a visit to Wupatki National Monument in Arizona, USA. When dyeing and blending the fibers for this yarn, I tried to capture the essence of the colorful stone pueblos against the sky and surrounding landscape. The fiber is hand dyed merino and mill ends dyed in shades of chestnut, yellow, and sky blue, handcarded by me on my drumcarder with bits of dark purple ingeo (cornsilk) dyed by fellow etsy seller Dragoncraft.
Thick and thin, ranging from worsted to bulky weight. 40 yards and 3 ounces, very soft. This would make a good small project such as a hat, or combine with other yarns for a larger project. Hand wash and lay flat to dry.
All my yarn comes from a smoke-free environment. I have cats who do wander about my studio, but all yarn is washed after spinning and stored safely away from them. Let me know if you are allergic, I will make sure to wash your yarn again just in case.
