Beautiful Polished Ancient Fossil: 400 Million Year Old ORTHOCERAS Expertly Hand Bead Embroidered with a Variety of Colorful Glass Beads! Beautiful Gallery Quality Brooch

I learned how to bead embroider a few years ago and since then I have worked on creating dramatic one-of-a-kind designs. This brooch began with a polished 400 million year old fossil of an Orthoceras. (This fossil comes from Morroco and it was a squid-like marine animal.) I used several sizes of beautiful black and gray glass seed beads to stitch around the edges of the stone. The brooch is 2.5" long. The back is covered by a soft black fabric and has a standard 1.5 inch locking pinback (see photo).
