Hawthornes Hermitage ACEO

Description

Here Hawthorne, The Wizard comes to find solitude and serenity. Inside is a large circular room with a high ceiling and a massive fireplace. The walls are lined with bookshelves that are filled with volumes of Wizard lore and spells. When at home, pondering the weighty problems of Wizardry, Hawthorne paces in circles while a raging fire burns in his fireplace. It provides him with inspiration. During this pacing, his flying cape knocks books off shelves and the carpet becomes threadbare. Ashes from the fireplace are strewn everywhere. Now everyone knows wizards cannot take care of themselves, so Hawthorne has two frizzy headed housekeeping fairies, Maudie and Eldora who run the Mystical Mopping Service. A touch of their magical brooms and mystical mops and all is tidy for a while.

This story in printed in fairy script on a card and included with the image.

ACEO art card, 3.5" x 2.5". This image was created from one of my photographs of a knothole in a tree, where I believe a fairy lives. I then digitally "draw" the details with a digital pen. I enhance what I perceive to be the door and then add other accessories such as the broom and lantern.
