Saucy is decadent choice for socks and much more - a soft-spun, 2-ply, 100% superwash merino hand-dyed in small batches using our original recipes. This supersoft, fluffy yarn holds stitch patterns well and is a dream on your feet. In fact, a dear friend and test knitter for numma numma called saucy socks "little pillows for your feet".

Saucy is mainly (Stella is the exception) a tonal dish with less variegation of color. We think this adds to its versatility. And it is the soft as a down-comforter loft and gentle halo that makes this yarn great for garments as well as socks. What's on your project list? Scarf? Done. Hand warmers? Done. Baby suprise? Done. (and with just one skein!)

This yarn creates a fabric with fabulous drape (not holey) on up to size 6 needles (and the gauge is dk or approx. 22 sts/in) or in can go toe-to-toe with any sock yarn on size 0-2 needles (yielding a gauge of 7-8 sts/inch) creating a firm but pillow-soft luxury sock.

Each skein is put up based on its yardage rather than weight - each skein contains a generous minimum of 530 yards but the weight of the skeins will vary.
