Description
A layered Japanese sword making technique background creates the landscape for the sterling silver tree & carved blue moonstone face moon in the sky.The mokume gane (wood grain metal) is made of sterling silver, shakudo, shibuchi, & copper. The tree, river & bezel are made of sterling silver. All the metal has been oxidized & brush finished to bring out the details & contrasting tones of metal.
The mokume gane is made by artisans in Arizona. Check 'em out! www.reactivemetals.com They offer sheet & rods in various patterns & colors. I've been working with them for 15 years & they are great for service & delivery. (And that's even before the internet!)
It measures 2" long by 1 1/4" wide.
