Vintage Sewing Room Shadow Box

One day when I was snooping around a wonderful antique shop in Denver, I can across a basket filled with vintage sewing supplies. What a treasure! There were old wooden spools, small and large, as well as beautiful buttons. And in that same booth at the antique shop, I found some vintage hankies . . . . I couldn't resist! Then, further along in my wanderings, I spotted an old jewelry chest filled with vintage pins, earring, and brooches. Well, I can home with my stash of treasures, and tried to decide what to do with it all.

And then I thought about a shadow box! I painted this shadow box a soft, vintage gold and embellished it with an antique button and tassel. Inside the shadow box, I placed one of the vintage hankies, a bow tie pin, lots of vintage buttons, and several of the antique spools of thread. This is a charming little gem to tuck into a corner of your sewing room, or on a bookshelf, or anywhere you are! So sweet and so vintage!
