The MicroKiln works only in a microwave oven. The top and base are made of light weight, white insulating fiber with a black compound lining the inside wall of the cover. The black material absorbs the microwave radiation and heats up to approximately 1650° F (900°C).

Your microwave oven's wattage determines firing times. Firing times are directly related to the size or weight of the article to be fired and the size of the MicroKiln being used. This is true of all microwave kilns.

The small MicroKiln has a 3" diameter by 2" high firing chamber. It's the right size to make pendants and small jewelry.

The seller made this fully-fused pendant in five minutes from Bullseye fusible glass and dichroic glass. The bail was affixed after firing.
