The antique photograph is transferred onto ivory vintage cotton, then embellished with lace from vintage crocheted doilies and small mother of pearl buttons. A bit of rustic hand embroidery accents the borders.

The pillow is backed with a lovely coordinating champagne hued damask, a swatch of silk satin ribbon, a bit of eyelet lace and a vintage button.

This project showcases my love of antique photographs and my belief that they should be openly displayed for all generations to appreciate. This pillow is ideal for gift-giving, or for simply sweetening your nook with some "instant ancestors".
