The Warrior Queen, Beadwoven Necklace

I have always been fascinated by stories of Boudica, the warrior-queen of the Iceni who led a rebellion against the Roman invaders in 61CE. This bold necklace, with its Celtic-inspired design and strong, yet feminine, lines, makes me think of the beautiful woman who was brave enough to stand up to the conquerers.

This particular piece is created from glass seed beads in clear and transparent dark purple, individually stitched together with organic cotton thread. A row of genuine amethyst rounds accents the bottom edge of the necklace. It is 16 and a half inches long, and closes with a silver-plated lobster claw clasp. An extender chain can be added if necessary -- simply request it in the "message to seller" when you buy.

This necklace is part of my "Celtic Dreams" series, a limited set of pieces based on patterns that I have created myself, inspired by the intricate beauty of traditional Celtic knotwork. The piece will arrive with a numbered and signed certificate of authenticity. Because the entire process, from design to creation, is at the hands of a single artist, you won't see pieces like this anywhere else.

All items are shipped in a bubble-wrap envelope to keep them safe.
