We are expanding our line of functional items, and are excited to introduce to you the Sweets Plate.

Inspired by a piece from my own childhood, this plate is handstamped with the text YOU ARE SPECIAL TODAY (and a tiny heart) on the rim.
Do as my mother did, and bring it out on birthdays, blue ribbon days, or any day when you or someone in your home should be honored, no matter the reason.

Each plate is hand-formed of white earthenware clay, and glazed in a clear lead-free, food safe glaze. They are fully functional should you choose to use them for serving or dining; but, they are just as lovely as decoration or hanging on a wall. I like to use them for dessert, for milk and cookies, or to dress them up with hors d'oeuvres and a glass of wine for simple elegance.

Each plate measures APPROX. 7" to 8" in total diameter. The rim measures about 3/4" wide, and the plate is about 1/2" thick. Each one varies from the other, as they are individually made to order from start to finish.
The plate is signed on the back side.

I recommend that Handmade = Handwash, to extend the life of your plate; I also recommend the plate not be used in the microwave or oven.
