11" x 14" chromogenic print by Melissa Hammesfahr featuring a vintage, late 1800s, pendant lamp glowing in a rather tall stairwell.

Printed from color negative film by yours truly in a color darkroom, old school style. These are *not* digital inkjet AKA "Giclee" prints. Chromogenic prints require exposing film onto emulsion-based paper and running them through a gigantic color processor. The trick is in the color-correcting which happens in the darkroom with a method that predates Photoshop and can take several hours and many attempts to get right. But the result is a durable, resin coated print which gives you a continuous tone and vividness that has yet to be matched by ink jet. These are printed on Kodak Professional Ultra Endura resin coated glossy or semi-matte paper, and are archival quality. I have limited quantities of these prints--1 to 3 copies of each image, and unfortunately they are not available in custom sizes.

Each image is labeled, packaged in a cellophane sleeve, wrapped in paper, and shipped in a tube mailer. Shipping cost is included in final price for orders to the US & Canada. Everywhere else shipping = $5.

Please note that these prints would not fit onto my scanner so i had to rephotograph them digitally in order to show them here-- in doing so, their cello sleeves sometimes show a glare which is not on the original print and some color representations are not 100% accurate, but are close.
