Falling Leaves -- LARGE
Description
This is a focal point piece in copper! It is gorgeously rich and intense, made from 20 4x4" (10cm) copper tiles etched with maple, and Japanese maple leaves. The tiles were individually seared to give them swirls of color, and were brushed in different directions to catch the light. The photo shows lighter and darker areas, which is just the light moving across the copper. Those areas shift as you move around the piece. The copper has been sealed, and has a nice glossy shine. It is difficult to photograph; the detail pics may give a better sense of the piece.The copper tiles were raised slightly to float above a dark stained base. The entire piece measures 24x28 (61x71cm), and has a sturdy D-ring & wire hanger on the back. The entire piece floats away from the wall, and feels very substantial.
