A thunderous roar of fire, smoke and iron
Only in the night never in the day

A train with no passengers or engineer
Behind the engine the tracks fade and disappear
Across the plains and through the mountains
The endless fate of the Ghost Train year after year

This image was very much inspired by the great train songs of Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and The Reverend Horton Heat. This image is one in a series of historic train photographs.
