Oxidized Copper Japanese Flower Chainmail Necklace

Description

The chainmaille (chainmail) pendant on this necklace was handmade by winding copper wire into a coil. I then sawed the coil into individual rings and wove them into a Japanese flower. The pendant was then oxidized to give it a reddish brown color. I then strung the pendant on a black leather cord and finished it with a handmade copper “S” clasp.

This necklace has 4 loops to choose from when fastening the clasp, to make this necklace adjustable from approximately 16 inches (40.6 cm) to 18 inches (45.7 cm), which makes it very versatile and easy to wear.

The pendant measures approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide and 1 inch (2.5 cm) long.
