HANDMADE Blue Grey Smooth 'NAKED' Leather WRAP BELT with Textured COLLAGE 'Buckle'

Here's a belt I constructed from smooth blue-grey 'naked' aniline dyed* garment-grade leather. It has as a focal point, a collaged "buckle" that I created with various colored and textured leathers for contrast and interest. The belt, because it is adjustable, can be made longer or shorter as needed and can be worn as a hip belt or at your natural waistline.

This leather is sumptuously supple and very pleasing to the touch—a joy to the senses. Wear it with jeans or business attire—or whatever you please. I constructed this belt in the late 1980's and it's been carefully stored ever since.

Total length is 39" long x 4" high at its widest point. It offers the option of wearing it in different ways by virtue of the Velcro closure—higher on the waist or lower on the hip—however you please.

(*Aniline Dyed: Leather that has been dyed with aniline, a clear dye that permeates the entire hide. There is no pigment (paint) or finish put on pure aniline dyed leather to correct imperfections. That is why only the finest leathers can be used since they have to be of excellent quality. Pure aniline dyed leathers are known for their soft, natural feel as well as their beauty since they have no corrective finish. They are sometimes referred to as "naked" leather. This represents about five percent of all leather in the U.S. and is the softest of all commercially manufactured leathers.)
