In this black and white print I wanted to get away from the more traditional animals in the Chinese astrological calendar and thought to make a print ‘southwestern’ in flavor. So the animals are: field mouse (rat), roadrunner (rooster), coyote (dog), javelina (pig), lizard (dragon), rattlesnake (snake), mustang (horse), bighorn sheep (sheep), spider monkey (monkey), longhorn bull (ox), puma (tiger), and jackrabbit (rabbit).
