Gorgeous faceted and smooth peridot and smoky quartz gemstones of various sizes and shapes make these silver earrings absolutely dance. They are gorgeous! The frame is sterling silver and is hand-formed and hand-hammered. Sterling silver wire is used to wrap all the beads, and the quality of the wire-wrap is evident in the close-up pictures. Compare the precision and beauty of this quality wire-wrapping and hopefully you will appreciate the many years of experience I have put into perfecting my craft.

These earrings are approximately 1.5", not including the ear wires. They are 2" from the top of the ear wire.

About the components of this piece:

PERIDOT: Peridot is a stone known by three names: peridot, chrysolite and olivine. Chrysolite is named from the Greek for 'gold stone', since greenish gold is the color of peridot. Olive is the mineral from which the gemstone peridot is derived. 'Peridot" comes from the Greek word 'peridona', which means 'to give richness'. "

SMOKY QUARTZ: Smokey quartz, as its name implies, is a lovely smoky-grayish black variety of quartz. There are few gemstones of this color, so smokey quartz is easily recognized, well known and very popular. Natural smoky quartz is mined from granitic rocks in locations around the world. The most notable sources are Brazil, the Pikes Peak area of Colorado, and the Swiss Alps.

SILVER: All metal components in my pieces are either fine or sterling silver, and I incorporate many, many Bali sterling beads into my work, as I appreciate the great attention to detail and the handmade beauty of these beads.
About BALI SILVER BEADS: All metal beads used to make these earrings are authentic Bali silver beads. Bali is a small island located in southeast Asia. Bali, Indonesia is known around the world for its silver jewelry made by master metal smiths. Each and every bead is made by hand by craftsmen exceptionally skilled in the trade.
